Trans* Only Intro to Burlesque

Enter the dazzling world of Burlesque with this introductory workshop!
Students will explore the drama of burlesque by learning some of the core components of burlesque performance.  Start by reviewing how to hone in on tension and tease, and then practice while you learn a routine sampling movement staples such as basic bumps and grinds! Finish off this workshop by indulging in a glove peel to round off the choreo and dazzle the room!

This Workshop is for Transgender, Non Binary, and Gender Non Conforming people only.

What to wear/bring: Bring water. If you have any burlesque accessories such as shimmy belts or sparkly tops you’d like to wear feel free to do so. Please bring a pair of long gloves if you have them, if not gloves will be provided.
Please wear/bring clothes that are comfortable to move in, such as a tank top and shorts, sweatpants, leggings. Footwear of choice: pair of dance shoes or low heels, or socks to wear.
