Pre-requisites: Burlesque Intro & Debut

Are you ready to slow it down? Join La Dame Derriere for a step back into a dark, underground jazz club. This performance progressive will give you a taste of film noir femme fatale, and teach you how to lure the audience into your perfectly manicured claws. We’ll be focusing on ultra-slow, sensual striptease, building confidence in taking up space, and perfecting our seductive gaze.

This class is perfect for intermediate performers who’ve dipped their toes in burlesque, but are ready to challenge themselves with character building and fully-embodied movement.

We will be including floorwork in this act – modifications will be provided.

This class works up to a performance at our VBC Student Showcase on Thursday, April 16 at The Rio Theatre. You will also be supplied with professional photos and video from the show.

What to wear/bring: Kneepads, heels optional, water bottle, clothes you can move in
