This class is for any and all that want to break a wall down, conquer plateaus, or for true beginners get the basics on moving on stage. For beginners and more seasons performers alike, we’ll work on finding and harnessing energy via movement. Work with each individual’s style, aesthetic, message, and body type to use and create movements that compel audiences without betraying the spirit of the performer. From transitions between moments, to the moments themselves this class will first go over some basic universal truths of movement, before delving into more tailored and specific instruction.
Students are asked to bring / wear anything that will help them understand and practice movement, whether it be simple comfortable clothing to move around in, to full costumes if desired. Other than that students are asked to come with questions or specific ideas they want to achieve, incorporate, or overcome. All students are welcome to film sections of the class to take home with them.
