About Obscura:
As a first-generation Bajan-American, dark-skinned, fat, queer, femme, they embody powerful authenticity, and their performances captivate with an alluring mix of mystery and magic, while challenging assumptions of sexuality and queerness.
Obscura is also producer, dance instructor, and Board member at The Burlesque Hall of Fame. In these roles Obscura champions spaces where “nontraditional” artists can thrive, succeed, and build community. Bringing to light the beauty that lives in the souls held in the bodies of the fat, over 40, Queer, BIPOC, and individuals living with disabilities.
