Draglesque: An Introduction

This class is a Pre-requisite for our Draglesque Progressive unless you’ve taken the class with us before.

Draglesque is what happens when you blend the theatricality, gender play, and character-driven aspects of drag with the sensuality, tease, and storytelling of burlesque. It’s not about fitting into one style — it’s about breaking them open!

This 2 week course will introduce you to the core elements of the fusion of drag with burlesque: persona-building, character work, musicality, movement, and the art of the tease. Taught by Genesis and Gigi Lavande, who bring their crossover experience and unique expertise in drag and burlesque together to help you play and experiment.
This is an important Intro class that will get you prepared for our Draglesque performance progressive!

This class is open to all levels of experience and all gender expressions. No previous drag or burlesque experience needed — just bring your curiosity, your creativity, and a willingness to play!

What to wear/bring: indoor shoes, clothes you can move in, pen + paper
